Today’s Stakes Pageantry: None for the equines today, but they could not be higher tomorrow for St. Louis, Atlanta, Balto. & Arlington, Tex. in the professional big-league baseball. Always easy to root against Tejas (Tejas!), especially since that frustrated dermatologist/tax accountant Feldman blew the save in Game 7 last year. In general, always good to root against anything emanating from the False Republic of Tejas. We prefer modest States such as Illinois and Oregon and Connecticut and New Jersey. Once-modest States such as Colorado and Minnehaha and even Penna. have been overtaken by fringe elements and are no longer safe to set foot in. Trending toward the bottom are Florida, Tejas False Republic and Deseret. Tyvm.

As for the baseball, always easy to root against the Tejas teams. Always. Even more so since a very funny thing happened to them on the way to the A.L. West title. Very funny. Hahahahahaha. Now, St. Louis-Hotlanta is a different matter altogether. St. Louis is absent of LaRussa nowadays, so that makes them easier to support. Speaking of support, Chipper Jonze has had a child out-of-wedlock, and he is a little too proud as well. We were very happy to see that little blowhard Billie Wagner never make it to the Series, and Lonnie Smith left the Bravos before their one World Champeenship. Steve Avery also was easy to dislike, and St. Louis is just such a baseball town.

So we should like to see St. Louis and Balto. emerge as the winners.
