Slick Willy Klinton in da house! They rise to cheer a man who was very nearly ejected from office legislatively!

They all got their shortcomings. Except for Karter, who was merely incompetent. The Bushes were benign patricians. Oblahblah was anointed New Messiah, though he was not always enthusiastic to assume that calling. As for Slick Willy Klinton, he was the most ruthless of all. He long ago would have been left by the side of the road to fester in the unforgiving Arkansas sun but for one thing: He was also the shrewdest of them all. Slick Willy Klinton really is the Smartest Guy in The Room, unlike those amateurs from the Enron.

How did he get away with it? Prolly ’cause he knew he was and didn’t have to pretend to be smart and serious. Merely by inserting a laugh or two at himself, the public could not stay mad at him for that long. Dicky Nixon & Kenny Lay would have been wise to take a page from Slick Willy’s Political Playbook.

In the end, Slick Willy remains standing, standing tall. He has it all. Elder statesman, husband of a woman with extreme power, vegan.
