Monday Boxing: Mike Smith Won-Lost Weekend Edition

Good for the goalie, boo on the guy atop the luckless Bodemeister.

Never liked the horserace rider of that name. Always considered him overhyped. Much preferred the reformed-boozer Jerome D. Bailey, son of a dentist.

Never got on well vis-a-vis the mutuels with the great Christopher J. McCarron, either, even though he was, as the late, lamented Richard A. Mitchell always used to say, “The greatest turf jockey ever to put on a pair of bootsz.” Always preferred the reckless and ornery Corey S. Nakatani, genius-jockey manque.

Of course, the greatest jockey of all time was Craig Perret. He took only two or three mounts per year, but he won when he wanted. You could look it up.
