That settles it. We shall have to root for the National League representative in the 2011 World Serious.

Tejas! Good team, but it’s always easy to have a healthful mistrust of anything swaggering out of the State of Tejas. It’s filled with the likes of John Ross Ewing and James Richard Perry. Though that’s stereotypical.

Can think of only one Tejas team that was worth supporting. That was this year’s Dalhart Maverix. That was because Miami had already declared itself a Dream Team. Had to be done.

In short, geographical underdogs are preferred, unless the team itself is a self-proclaimed new messiah. Then we must bite the bullet, swallow hard and create the unholy alliance, as with the Dalhart Maverix.

No such expediencies or inconsistencies exist in horse racing, except for Sunday Silence v. Easy Goer. East Coast bias in full effect! Thankfully for all of us, Sunday Silence was always the superior wager!

The one battle that will have absolutely no winners and no rooting interest will be the coming showdown between The State v. The Corporation. Monsters never get along with other monsters.
