Tuesday Sniping: Morning Targets

This weekly feature behaves the same as our vaunted Pick of the Day page.

That is, we run all the Tuesday tracks (this week, that’s nine ovals), let All-In-One V6 handicap them in less than a minute. It handles all the horses in all the races, applying its proprietary 17 factors and sorting out the rankings.

We note the raceday scratches, then scan the resulting output for races that conform to our self-styled longshot standards — at least in relation to the morning line. Sometimes, the morning lines are not too accurate, and a 10-1 is really going to be 3-1 at post time. What are you going to do?

Other times, everyone else seems to see the same things we did, and the prices plummet. Oh, well.

But to get you these advisories in time, we must use the morning line as our wagering-value gauge. It’s imperfect, but it works often enough!
