Punked at the wire!

That’s how the Boston National Hockey League club has to be feeling this morning; still, it’s only the Vancouverites holding service at home, in the first game. Plenty of ice time yet to log!

Free ones:

Rundown
Belmont 1, 8, 9
Hollypark 1, 7, 8

The first three-quarters of the Inglewood programme, you shouldn’t even show up for, probably; however, as is often the case in Thoroughbred racing, that last quarter, well, it’s a doozie!

Pay-side:

Rundown
River 5, 7, 8
Woodbine 6, 7, 8
Louisiana 3, 5, 9
Golden Gate 2, 3, 4

If you don’t have to play the ’Gate today, it’s for the best.

WMF Report:

Speed
Belmont 6f
Chas. Town 6½f
Finger 6f
Presque 6f (WMF 360! — sounds like the name of a news programme)
River 5½f

Rally
Belmont 1 1/16m (InT)

Rally (Honourable Mention Category)
Hollypark 1 1/16m
Woodbine 1 1/16m
(both with just-above-the-line WMF 26)

Nocturnal Submission: The second at Evangeline (6:07 p.m. CDT / 4:07 p.m. PDT), if it stays on the turf, looms as a king-hell scramble; #7 Rhyme Royal and #10 Tortuga Town are not out of it. …Later there, it’s the sixth (7:55 p.m. CDT / 5:55 p.m. PDT), and #4 Turbo Justice can prevail. …Finally, wide-open in the EvD finale (Race 10, 9:43 / 7:43), and #11 Boo Zittee is the one with the ugly name that may yet pay a pretty price. …

Bye-bye. Take care now.
