But on the pitch of football at iconic Wembley, the Arsenal F.C., 9-20 favourites to win the 2011 League Cup, which would have been their first piece of silverware since 2006, were done in by a goalkeeper howler. Final score, Birmingham 2 – 1 Arse. ’gratz to the Blues! More heartache and despair for the Gooners and their long-suffering supporters. Too bad.
