How ’bout dem Cavaliers?

They got the HiddenEntries inverse jinx. Once we pointed out how hapless they were, they go ahead and beat the two teams from la ciudad de los angeles. In the case of Cavs’ defeat of the Lakers, this was quite welcome; however, as fansz of Blake Griffin and the Clips, well, that was disappointing.

All right, all right, ya cager-fans! (Remember when they used to call basketballers “cagers”? Of course you do!) Enjoy that Nat’l Basketball Assn. while you can. In the meantime, here’s the free ones…

Rundown
Aqueduct 5, 7, 8
Gulfstream 4, 6, 8
Santa Anita 4, 7, 8

As always, you cannot gripe about what they do at the ’Gulf, at least in terms of the product on the racetrack.

On the pay side…

Rundown
Laurel 4, 7, 9
Tampa 4, 6, 8
Fair Grounds 4, 6, 7
Oaklawn 2, 3, 4
Golden Gate 5, 6, 8

Track-trends: Contrast at Aqueduct, where it’s WMF 195 at 1m but a danger-zone WMF 26 at the neighboring 1m70y. …Only one 4½f race on the card tonight at Chas. Town. …Now at WMF 161 at 6f at Gulfstream (and don’t forget the rally-only status in turf-routes there!). …Threshold straddling WMF 150 at 6f at Laurel. …

Best wishes!
