Well, friends, that’s just how we roll. That, and, well, you don’t want to have a bunch of selections for races taken off the turf. Plus the soft-a-ware’s output can shift dramatically in the face of a bunch of late scratches, no?
Of course! So that’s part of the reason for the daily tardiness with the picks. It’s wet today in Florida, and the slight lag-time in posting comes in handy “For such a time as this”, as is written in Ye Olde Testamente. The later publishing time gives us an outlook based on what’s going on today, not 24 hours beforehand, when the elements (!) of weather and the composition of the starting gate are not fully known.
