Your Boxing Day Stakes Sweep: Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010

Two obvious ones at Santer Aniter for your turfless (but, hooray, a new composition on the main track called HonestToGoodnessMotherEarthSoilDIRTRACK) Opening Day.

A rolling stakes pick 4 on Races 5-8 at The Great Race Place, a k a Santa Anita in lovely Arcadia, Calif. Half of the quartet is longshot-oriented (available at the Pick of the Day page), and the other half is prohibitive singlebergs, as discussed below.

The fifth is the Calif. Breeders’ Champ. S.. It’s #9 Arresting Officer‘s race to lose. Then in the seventh, the Grade II Sir Beaufort now off the grass, it’s going to be difficult for #5 Sidney’s Candy to be defeated.

At the Turfway, the ninth is the Gowell, and we go one-deep via the mild upset call on #4 Golden Phoenix.

Ah, well. Maybe some contentious added-money events later on for your holiday week.

’til then, good wishes and best luck!
