Your Saturday Stakes Sweep: Oct. 16, 2010

Morning (at least on the Left Coast) edition.

To start, a trio of from the Eastern part of the continent.

First over at Delaware. The ninth is the New Castle Stakes, and it’s anybody’s race. V6 prefers #9 Filled With Wonderand LifeLiner Speed says #1 Nathan’s H Q. Even Christine O’Donnell wouldn’t be too far afield in this one.

Now to the Situation at the Jersey Shore, otherwise known as the eighth at Monmouth, the Eillo Stakes. V6 and LifeLiner convergence this time upon the #3 Unwritten. (Extra for experts: “Eillo is “Ollie” spelled backwards.)

To conclude this part of your day, on to Woodbine and the 10th there. It’s the Grade I Pattinson Canadian International Stakes, and the consensus says that #2 Chinchon can post the mild upset over the morning-line fave.

More later.
