Stripping down to a bare-bones blogging sked for the next couple of weeks — catch-as-catch-can! Is that how they say it in your language; we are new to your country!
Looks OK for normal service to resume on the afternoon / evening of Aug. 3, 2024. Please make a note of it. Until then or until any other such next time, it’s so long. Bye-bye now.

BestLine Racing Society Recap:
A couple of post-press-time connections to report from last night’s (Friday’s) late action: At Chas. Town, W.Va., Race 7 was held onto by #7 Teachintherelease (.161 Win Prob / 5.21-1 Fair Odds / 7.70-1 Premium Odds) at $18.20. At Nisku-Edmonton, Alta., #1 Classy City (.223 / 3.48 / 5.28) won Race 5 at $23.80; completing your winning $106.10 exacta was #3 Itsallgoodman (.398 / 1.51 / 2.02), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $31.89.
As for today (Saturday), some of the races went like this…
Starting as we are more frequently doing from The Buckeye State of Ohio, specifically Queen Ziti Zinzinnati Porkopolis, where Race 3 featured the #1 Samurai Way (.578 / 0.73 / 1.08) winning it for Toshiro Mifune at $12.40. In Race 4, #2 Candy Cause (.253 / 2.95 / 3.74) left a sweet taste on the palates of his backers at $18.40; completing your winning $63.20 exacta was #1 Taamuq (.314 / 2.18 / 2.82), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $28.57.
At Chas. Town, W.Va., Race 2 went to #5 Candy for Juba (.334 / 1.99 / 2.59) at $9.40.
The Stanton, Del., opener found #5 Burton Way (.403 / 1.48 / 1.98) originating in Beverly Hills, Calif., and ending in the winner’s circle at $7.40.
The Henderson, Ky., opener had #5 Summer in Aiken (.230 / 3.35 / 4.22) winning it for So. Carolina at $16.46. In Race 6, #4 Honeyquist (.176 / 4.68 / 5.82) got the money gist (what?!) at $31.70.
The biggest day of the meet for Oceanport, N.J., today, and Race 2 was won by #7 Chuck Willis (.169 / 4.92 / 7.28) for C. C. Rider at $23.20. In Race 9, #8 Nothing Better (.299 / 2.34 / 3.01) was sufficiently good, could not bested at $9.40. Next race there, #8 Tapit Trice (.461 / 1.17 / 1.60) was not nice to his foes at $7.60; your winning $41.60 daily double had a premium price of $20.85. Next race there, #3 Get Smokin (.228 / 3.39 / 4.26) smoked his rivals at $20.20; your winning $127.40 daily double had a premium price of $27.35; as well, your winning $118.85 pick 3 (for 50¢) had a premium price of $56.45 (again for 50¢). Next race there, #1 Dornoch (.305 / 2.28 / 2.93) answered again with a victory at $8.80; your winning $106.20 daily double had a premium price of $41.34; your winning $117.80 pick 3 (for 50¢) had a premium price of $55.55 (again for 50¢); as well, your winning $739.15 pick 4 (for 50¢) had a premium price of $595.10 (again for 50¢).
Race 4 on the Saratoga Spgs., N.Y., card went to #1 Silver Satin (.374 / 1.67 / 2.21) at $6.40 — granted, this was 2¢ shy of the premium price of $6.42; however, we could not blame you if you decided to leave that pair of pennies as a Tribute upon The Altar of The God of Doing Business Via The Parimutuels. We report, you decide!
Ending as we often do at Etobicoke Int’l., where Race 3 was lousy with first-timers, thereby allowing the best of the experienceds, #8 Salt (.578 / 0.73 / 1.08), to pay $4.30 up top. And fittingly, in the finale, which numerically was Race 11 on this day, #9 Red Mood (.219 / 3.57 / 4.48) was in-the-black at $37.40; completing your winning $207.50 exacta was #5 Whiskey N Ice (.199 / 4.03 / 5.03), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $54.02.
