At Opelousas, La., #5 Mrs. Katz (.321 / 2.12 / 2.74) was the Katz meow, Katz pajamas, Katz as Katz Kant, etc. in Race 7 at $7.60. At Collinsville, Ill., #7 Late Blacksmith (.223 / 3.48 / 4.38) forged a punctual win in Race 5 at $11.40.

In the finale, Race 8 on this day, #2 Red’s Mr Z (.300 / 2.33 / 3.00) was in-the-black, got the W at $22-even.

Low-priced overlay #8 Lugan Knight (.425 / 1.35 / 1.82) won Race 8 on the card out of Louisville, Ky., for France at $8.96.
