This is some tribute album, and this is some tribute cover. The music, especially the doleful harmonica & guitar solos, matches the words. And the words! This lyric (slightly altered by Lloyd) always hits us right in the kishkas, the way the best poetry often does.

Town, W.Va., Race 2 went to #1 Metallic Cat (.243 Win Prob / 3.12-1 Fair Odds / 3.94-1 Premium Odds) at $14.40. In Race 7, #6 Advance Cash (..215 / 3.65 / 4.58) progressed well enough to get the money at $29.20. At Grantville, Penna., #5 Our Andrew B (.233 / 3.29 / 4.15) brought his A game to upset Race 5 at $14.80.
Today (Saturday) it was Gulf, Tampa, Santa Anita, Golden Gate, Turfway & Delta.
Starting with Race 3 from Hallandale Beach, Fla., on a giant day of racing there; in that race, #13 Play the Music (.132 / 6.58 / 8.09) was on-song in a $22-even upset; completing your winning $258.80 exacta was #5 Ancient Peace (.136 / 6.35 / 7.82), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $142.70. In Race 11, #11 Tumbarumba (.163 / 5.13 / 6.36) danced into the winner’s circle at $18.80.
At Arcadia, Calif., #6 Bella Vienna (.275 / 2.64 / 3.36) won Race 4 for Austria at $9-even. Next race there, #6 Curlin’s Kaos (.393 / 1.54 / 2.05) was in control at the wire at $6.40; your winning $31-even daily double had a premium price of $26.59.
