In Race 4, #6 Slapintheface (.249 / 3.02 / 3.82) was the beneficiary of the late scratch in a $9.60 win; yes, this was 4¢ shy of the premium price, but perhaps you gave up those four pennies as a sacrifice to the God of Doing Business Via the Parimutuels — we report, you decide! Making up for that shortfall and then some was #9 Bunty Windermere (.164 / 5.10 / 7.54), who won Race 8 for Father Brown at $45-even. Finally, in the finale, #6 Spooky Lady (.138 / 6.25 / 7.70) scared off her rivals at $22-even; completing your winning $67.50 exacta was #10 Supers Lucky Lady (.302 / 2.31 / 2.97), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $61.13. As well, your winning late double paid $376.50 off a premium price of $148.59.

Over to Louisville, Ky., where #2 Stone Harbor (.306 / 2.27 / 3.58) won Race 3 for Cape May Co., N.J., down the shore at $9.54. 

At Del Mar, Calif., #5 Cocktail Cutie (.261 / 2.83 / 3.60) and #8 Mumbles Brockman (.190 / 4.26 / 6.37) combined on your winning $92-even exacta whose premium price was $53.06.

The Albany, Calif., opener had #2 Bronze One (.219 / 3.57 / 4.48) grabbing the gold at $15.60. Then in Race 7, #6 Twirling Derby (.363 / 1.75 / 2.31) spun into the winner’s circle at $8.60.

Cheap shot taken against a bunch of first-timers but converted nontheless in Race 3 at Hallandale Beach, Fla., where #7 Fiona’s Magic (.977 (!) / 0.02 / 0.23) cast the easy spell at $5-even. In Race 7, #3 Flying Liam (.287 / 2.48 / 3.18) ran to that billing at $11-even; completing your winning $54-even exacta was #5 Betta Go Go Go (.259 / 2.86 / 3.63), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $29.44.
