Still figuring out how to play better; even after all these years, finally grasping the importance of shifting the weight into the ball, attacking & hitting off the front foot, pronating just a touch with the forearm & wrist after contact, trying to get that forehand to pop a little more. As they say, tennis is the ‘sport for a lifetime’, and always better than picklenickel.

Wednesday’s post-press-time stunners: In Race 3 from Chas. Town, W.Va., #3 The Money Machine (.271 Win Prob / 2.69-1 Fair Odds / 3.43-1 Premium Odds) printed some for himself at $9.20. Then in the finale, #3 Raise a Speights (.296 / 2.38 / 3.05) turned-in an elevated performance at $9.40.

At Vinton, La., #3 Geaux Sugar (.231 / 3.33 / 4.19) hit the sweet-spot in Race 8 at $11.40; completing your winning $54.60 exacta was #1 Marks Promise (.209 / 3.78 / 4.74), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $48.10.

Finally, to New Cumberland, W.Va., where the winning $24.40 exacta in Race 1 combined #7 Far From Home (.305 / 2.28 / 2.93) and #1 Malpractice Meuser (.312 / 2.21 / 2.85); the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) was $22.56. Then in Race 4, #1 Sweet Queen Bee (.221 / 3.52 / 4.43) won it for Beyonce Knowles at $13.60.

As for your Thursday now, it was Chas. Town, Delta, Presque & Woodbine earlier. Still looking for some joy, though it’s pretty early yet at those first two tracks.
