The American League team won last night, so we have no recourse but to show this modern-day Wild Man of Borneo instead. Regrets!

Crazy eyes on this guy, sort of like Rudolf W. Juliano’s!

P.S. Stop trying to make the ‘Thoroughbred racing experience’ into a Peloton commercial with smiles and high-fives all the time. It starts looking like those commercials for Indian casinos and liquor — and we all know how endlessly happy and vibrant Indian casinos and liquor are. Stop it. Like putting lipstick on a dead horse.

Today

We have been rolling well on the Comments Section later in the day, so like any good superstitious Wild Man of Borneo, we will continue that bit of unscientific ritual again today. Thank you. This is not a Peloton commercial. Nor is it a commercial for an Indian casino or liquor. Thank you!

Fantastic BC-type card today at Mahoning (!). The probabilities are all over the place, and this should make for some kind of parimutuel excitement during a card in which — count ’em! — 87 horseys are entered in eight races. Thank you for the warmup, Mahoning! Thank you!

    Anyway, it’s Mahoning 2, 5, 6, 7 now.

N.B. We will put the Golden Gate recap in a subsequent Comment. Thank you for your patience.

There were five selected Golden Gate races yesterday (Friday). There were 13 win-overlay wagers. There was a runner-up finish, at 12-1 by a dirty neck, and there were two winners, one at $22-even and the other at $28.60. Thanks again for your patience.
