This one’s for you, Yuli Gurriel.
A lot of karmic comeuppance last night. There was the Suzuki home run. Remember that time in the 2017 World Series when the Astros’ Gurriel homered off the Dodgers’ Yu Darvish and then made that insensitive ethnic gesture afterwards back in the dugout? Sure! We all remember that one!
Also, remember when Bregman showed-up Stras in the first inning of last night’s game by standing in the batter’s box for a couple of minutes admiring his moonshot home run before getting down the first-base line? Yeah, the Gods of Baseball did not forget either, and a couple of innings later, Bregman threw the game away — twice!
Stay cool, Wash., D.C., stay cool. Keep the Ernst & Young feminine-hygiene-apparatus bros out of your locker room. Don’t let the analytics geeks grind down your uniqueness. You can do it, Wash., D.C.

Today:
No béisbol today. However, el tráfico does take place. World fútbol is lousy with bitter and eternal proximate rivalries: the Old Firm between Rangers and Celtic in Glasgow; the No. London Derby pitting the Spuds and the Arse; the superclásico in Argentina with Boca and River; and, of course, the plain-old el clásico — Real v. Barça. Any one of these would look at Yankees-Red Sox and say, ‘Hold my beer…’ At any rate, el tráfico (after all, we are in Gridlock City!) is the La-La Land spin on el clásico, and it’s your La-La Land Los Galaxy & Zlatan Ibrahimović invading your La-La Land Los LAFC & Carlos Vela tonight at Banc of California Park. Fantastic. The winner proceeds along the playoff road; the loser gets to sit in the I-405 parking lot at rush hour. Best wishes.
P.S. Horse recommendations to follow later in the Comments Section. Stay in the fight!
Delta rarely disappoints, and it comes through large again this evening, with Races 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 all worthy of big-paying vertical-type exotics excitement. Or something like that. Thank you, Louisiana. Thank you, Calcasieu Parish.
