Born on the 3rd of July.

Free ones: Rundown…

Belmont 2, 8, 10
Gulfstream Park Proper 1, 4, 7, 8, 11
Santa Anita 7

Pay-side (Weekend/Weekday): Today…

Arlington 2, 5, 7, 8
Belterra 5
Ellis Park 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Laurel 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Lone Star 1, 4, 5, 7, 10
Monmouth 4
Woodbine 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Pay-side has Woodbine 6, 8, 9, 10.

#4 Hot City Girl has plenty of talent, so only the fitness will be in question in Belmont 4.

Wild stuff in Canterbury 9, with #8 Fiona Cat, #5 Blues Edge and #3 Aaron’s Belt all emerging as live-longshot-type stabs. Next race there, #4 Speed Is Life has a fine name and can run to it at a lovely price.

#2 Skyluck gets the upset single in Gulf 6.

Pleasanton 9 finds #6 Tchula Sunset and #3 Wally’s Got Class in with shouts.

Should be OK for the obvious #1 Lady Shipman in Woodbine 4.

Hate to be among the bourgeoisie and the elites, but, yes, strictly by the food, Barrel & Ashes is good, or at least worth trying. We are not manic Yelpers (or Facespacers or Instabookers or Tweetgrammers or anything like that), but if we were, we would have an Internet paroxysm of a goodly number of stars and exclamation-points (and however else they express approval nowadays) for Barrel & Ashes. Let us know when you go and we will buy you a Lynchburg Lemonade, OK?
