‘Yeah, it was a mistake. If we had to do it again, we wouldn’t have posted this video a second day in a row now. Oh, well’.
Free ones: Rundown…
Santa Anita 10
Pay-side (Weekday/Weekend): Today…
Golden Gate 3, 9
Laurel 6, 7, 9
Oaklawn 4, 6, 7, 9
Tampa 7, 9
Turfway 2, 3, 4, 6, 7
Turf Paradise 4
Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Should be OK for #6 Maize Road in Oaklawn 8.
Yesterday’s Activity:
Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)
Aqueduct (1/0) — Blueshirt Rangers fall at home to Buffalo, 4-3; J.T. Miller scored his 22nd goal of the season for New York.
Chas. Town (2/0) — Strong winds cause power outages throughout the tri-state (W. Va., Ohio, Ky.) area Saturday night.
Fonner (1/0) — Lincoln Fire and Rescue say four people were taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a 2-car crash on Highway 77 northbound near West O St.
Golden Gate (0/0) — Sharks visit Nashville and prevail in the shootout, 3-2; Tomas Hertl scored twice in the 3rd period for San Jose to send the game to overtime.
Gulf (1/1) — First-timer Wessex won the fourth at $21.80; her connection-line readout of 17pc/15pc/19pc in a contentious race was close enough for jazz/rock ‘n’ roll/government work/horseshoes/hand grenades etc. Certainly close enough that High-Octane Chanciness was not necessary.
Hawthorne (1/0) — Blackhawks register OT road win at Winnipeg, 5-4; Brent Seabrook netted the decider.
Los Alamitos (1/1) — Race 2 went to Whats a Rebah, $33.80 up top; ’Rebah was good for all sorts of playas: Old-School Champeens, Reactionary Fundamentalists, Progressive LifeLiner Radicals and, of course, High-Octane Chancers. ’Rebah was top of a contentious Betting Line at Fair Odds of 4-1, and the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis rating was a sufficient 82.
Laurel (2/1) — Publicly touted Mutasaawy won the seventh at $21.60. The race was contentious, and Mutasaawy tiptoed into the reckoning via a just-good-enough 82 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis.
Mahoning (1/½) — Race 3 was a gift for the Old-School Champeens: contentious race, and Advanced Degree was there at Fair Odds of 5-1, but no LifeLiner backing to be found. ’Degree went gate-to-wire to win by a clean neck at $71.20-straight. Hoo-boy. Good job, Old-School Champeens.
Oaklawn (5/3½) — The first three were all defensible via the LifeLiner Columns. In Race 5, So Kitten took the fifth at an unimpeachable $21.60; ’Kitten was a Dual Qualifier (99, 81), though the race was not contentious. In Race 7, publicly touted Bonita Cat came through at $38.40 in a contentious affair; ’Bonita had the 85 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, and rallied to her complete LifeLiner characterization (60-66-85), winning by a clean neck. In Race 8, Storm Advisory, with a forlorn 81 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis, was good enough for High-Octane Chancers in a noncontentious race; ’Storm paid $28.20. In Race 10, half a get to Gavar, 14½-1 winner but taken down for interference; Gavar was one for the Old-School Champeens, same as the aforementioned winner at Mahoning, no LifeLiner, but straightforward on the Betting Line in a contentious race. Regrets on the DQ.
PennNat (0/0) — Philalala Flyers continue their miraculous late-season resurrection, defeating visiting Ottawa, 3-2; Wayne Simmonds scored his 27th and 28th goals of the season for the winners.
Keystone (0/0) — Philanova routs Oklahoma in a National Semifinal Game of the NCAA men’s hoopball tournament at Houston, 95-51; Josh Hart scored 23 for the Wildcats.
Santa Anita (0/0) — La-La Land Kings surrender 2 3rd period goals in a 3-2 loss to visiting Dallas; Jeff Carter scored his 23rd goal of the season for the losers.
Sunland (2/1) — Race 6 went to Atillas Gift, $23.60; ’Atillas had a sharp 91 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis in a noncontentious race, and accordingly went gate-to-wire to win by half a length.
Tampa (1/0) — Lightning strike for a 3-1 home win against New Jersey; Victor Hedman had a goal and an assist for Tampa Bay.
Turfway (4/1) — Publicly touted He’ll Pay won Race 8 at $27.60; ’ Pay was one of ’em Best of All Possible Worlds-type horseys, good for every sort of player, from the Old-School Champeens, Reactionary Fundamentalists, Progressive LifeLiner Radicals and, of course, High-Octane Chancers. Similar to what went on with the Los Alamitos issue. N.B. Bonkers Box covered the 9-1 place-horse, with the gimmick returning $203.20 for $2.
Turf Paradise (0/0) — Host Coyotes post stunning 3-nil blanking of Caps; Mike Smith stopped all 31 shots faced.
