Behold, the Mercedes-Benz 190, late-1950s edition.
Four-gear column shift, wood paneling, the whole thing.
As always when we mention Mercedes-Benz, we note the mangling of the pronunciation of ‘Mercedes’ in American English; to wit, each ‘e’ has a different sound over here, as in Mur-say-deez. Ridiculous. Instead, give all the vowels the same sound and soften the ‘d’ with a tap of the upper front teeth. Extend the Europeansz a little credit; after all, it’s their word, their brand-name, their language. Ugh.
