Today’s Stakes Pageantry: #7 Lost Bus looks headed to the winner’s circle anyway in Del Mar 7; maybe a little excitement via #2 Inspired Illusion in that one.

Sorry, but it looks like the top two morning-line choices in Northlands 7.

Yesterday’s Activity: All right, all right, ya Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Opening Days loversz! Take it easy! We’ll get to you soon.

Before that, Second Bonkersmate Tappinintovictory took the seventh at Delpark at $30.60.

’Tappin’ was the absolute bottom of your conventional V6 Betting Line, morning-line odds of 8-1. But the race was contentiously shaped on that Betting Line, and ’Tappin’ did enough to earn consideration via a good-enough LifeLiner Speed Column analysis score. Indeed, the top four finishers were OK on LifeLiner, and the exotics were this way: exacta, $108.20; trizacta, $437.80; super-duper, $2,089.40; all prices quoted for $2.

Then at the BelTerra, Race 3 went to sole-touted Vinqtieme, $29.80. Vinqtieme was 12-1 on your morning line and Fair Odds of 3½-1 on your contentious V6 Betting Line. Vinqtieme was top of your LifeLiner Speed Column analysis.

Over to the Arlington for your Race 9 upsetter, the sole-touted Keep On Shining.

Keep On Shining was sanctioned on all possible measures: second-best with Fair Odds of 3½-1 in a contentious race on the V6 Betting Line; as well, ’Shining was more than adequate on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, 91.

Keep On Shining won at $71-even. The 2-1 race-fave ran second, also OK on LifeLiner, and the perfecta came back $383.20, again for $2.

Finally, there was your Opening Day activity at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in North San Diego County, Calif. It took (count ’em!) five touted horseys to get home, but in Race 9 it was your First Bonkersmate Passing Game running to that billing, overtaking a few horseys in the course of his $62.80 surprise.

Passing Game, ignored on your conventional V6 Betting Line, no Fair Odds, was 20-1 on your morning line and highly regarded on your LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, 87. Fourth Bonkersmate Next Speaker, 18-1 on the toteboard, ran second, completing your winning $1,395.40 (for $2) Bonkers Exacta Box. If you were insane enough to look at the vaunted Pick of the Day page, you had the potential.

So, there you have it. As always, hope you had ’em!
