Geography 101

Uh-oh, LSU. Now what?

Louisiana results skewed, all those ‘safety-school’ applications flooding into New Orleans.

Free ones: Rundown…

Belmont 8
Santa Anita 6, 8

Pay-side: Today…

Arlington 7, 9
BelTerra 3, 8
Churchill 9
Louisiana 1, 7, 8, 9
Lone Star 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9
Pimlico 6

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: All right, all right, ya Queen City Racing Fansz! ’sgratsz on your new hippodrome, the BelTerra Park, née River Downs. Yes, racetracks now are being named like gated communities. Hoo-boy. #1 Conniption Fit (!) is almost a Triple Threat Horsey, but not quite. Nonetheless, he is dominant on both the conventional V6 Betting Line and on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis. That’s BelTerra Park, the New River Downs, Race 7. Join WKRP’s very own Les Nessman & Bailey Quarters at the Grand Opening.

Yesterday’s Activity: Good one at the Belmont yesterday, Race 7, via Sacred Success, a Ned Reldem, Esq.,-sanctioned winner.

Sacred Success, fifth-best on the conventional V6 Betting Line, Fair Odds of 6-1 in a wildly contentious race, was your lone LifeLiner Speed Column analysis qualifier, 86.

Sacred Success, complete LifeLiner array of 99-99-86, ran to that characterization, far in front all the way around before gearing down to a 1½-length win at $21.20-straight. Sacred Success was 15-1 on the morning line and coming off a year layoff.

Over at the Suffolk in E. Boston, Arbelle took the opener at $15.40, bet-down from 8-1 on the morning line.

Arbelle was disregarded on the conventional V6 Betting Line, but did well enough on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis. The runner-up was the top LifeLiner Speed Column analysis horsey in the race, and the inverse longshot-fave perfecta paid $48-even.

Next race there, Volant Jamie, 12-1 on the morning line but also bet-down to the exact same 6-1 as the winner in the opener, came through at $15.40; the daily double paid $140.80.

Volant Jamie, second on the Betting Line at Fair Odds of 5-1 in a contentious race, was your top LifeLiner Speed Column analysis runner in the field, 99. She held off the 2-5 fave, the only other LifeLiner Speed Column analysis qualifier in the field, 86, and the cold-puncher’s perfecta box, another inverse longshot-fave combo, paid $26.20.

Ben Affleck should quit wasting his time with those bullie casinos and fruit-clerk pit bosses and prying eyes-in-the-sky. Handicapping will not put the strongarm on him.
