Saturday! What, ho! No cancellations? Quick, somebody call that move.org petition site or however those Olympic Skating Complainers are doing it to be bulliesz about a result they don’t like. Sheesh. What if those millionsz were actually horseplayers…would they storm the stewards and judges and light up the toteboard the way they thought was correct? Sign a petition and be a bullie. Get offended and hire a lawyer to secure your redress, same difference. Nowadays, it seems, you can always bullie your way to what you want. Go to a steakhouse, send your prime meats back to the kitchen because you demand to have them burned to a crisp well-done. Ugh. This. There’s better outlets for outrage. Everyone’s an expert nowadays, everyone’s opinion matters. They call up Amerika’s Idle or SuperStar Dancers and feel like they can bullie their way to a result.
Gone is the era of experts. Personal taste has now supplanted expertise. The world used to work a whole lot better as long as you could let go, trust the experts, and as long as you didn’t always feel moved to pick up the phone or sign a petition or send the food back to the kitchen just because it didn’t turn out the way you wanted.
