More about the World Blowing Up. What happened to this kind of humour, anyway? Anachronistic and proud of it!

Free ones: Rundown…

Sunland (deputizing for unplayable Aqueduct) 7, 10, 11
Gulf 4, 10, 11
Santa Anita Unplayable

Pay-side: Today…

Keeneland (!) 5, 7, 8, 9, 10
Pimlico 5, 8
Hawthorne 7, 8, 9
Oaklawn 3, 4, 5, 10

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Keeneland opens today, and its feature, the Grade III Transylvania, is on the pay-side. You can handicap this one clutching a wooden stake and a clove of garlic. Count Floyd forever!

Yesterday’s Activity: Quiet on the free side, and one that nearly made up for it all on the pay-side, courtesy of Madi Two Shoes in the fifth at the ’Gate. Twelve-to-one on the morning line and nearly 10-1 at the off, ’Madi had a stellar trainer and jockey, 5 percent and three percent, with the combo batting zero in three tries. Halleljuah! Now they’re profitable by 163 percent! ’gratsz! Clearly, the Albany (Calif.) fansz weren’t being driven by the humans haltering and handling the horsey.

Maybe they were driven by the LifeLiner Speed Column. ’Madi was tops there, and the race was contentious. However, the only other qualifying LifeLiner didn’t finish in the top half, checking-in eighth of nine at an unpalatable 3½-1.

Also, thank you, Cliff Lee.
