How you holding up during this longest Monday-through-Thursday period of every calendar year? WE WANT A PITCHER, NOT A BELLY-ITCHER! WE WANT A CATCHER, NOT A BELLY-SCRATCHER!

On this date 100 yrs. ago, Enrique A. Unite born in Ballesteros, Cagayan, Pilipinas. Went on to University of Santo Tomas, then residencies at Caneel Bay, Saint John, U.S.V.I., and Polyclinic Hospital, Manhattan, where yours truly was born; yea, verily, almost all of us are born in a hospital, but how many continue to live there (without a chronic condition) for a year or two after?! Happy Birthday, Dad. Best wishes.

xAI has disabled Grok, deleted a slew of its antisemitic and neo-Nazi posts, posted a statement, and are evidently rolling back the prompt that made it identify as "MechaHitler," but this new low for Elon Musk's chatbot will live in internet infamy:

Sulkies in Serbia…who knew!

As always, the Thoroughbred sport of equine racing reigns supreme — that’s the flats, dirt or turf, doesn’t matter, though turf remains more exciting. However, if we have to choose after that, it’s got to be the buggies, the Standardbreds, followed in third by the jumpers over the steeplechasers, then the Arabians. Next it’s Appaloosas & paints etc., then myocardial infarction and then last and least, the American Quarter Horses. Quarter Horses OUT!

Ladies & gentlemen, Mistah Zachary H. Wheeler…WHEELER!

Even if the big bad world outside hadn’t suddenly turned scarier than ever, we’d still be following our hometown team pretty closely, especially while they have a lot of marquee talent on the roster and are in contention for year-end glory. But given how much meaner & dishonest & unjust ’murrikkkan society has turned in the last five months, we need reality-based pursuits to be able to put our faith & trust in; something to believe that’s not some unworthy winner picked by The Big Fat Orange & His Wrathful Brigade of Red-Hatted Gluttons etc. Sporting-events are giant in this regard, except for hoopball & flogging the dimpled ball with the crooked-sticks. Too much arbitrary interpretation of jurisprudence in the hoopball, and we already know how The Big Fat Orange frequently cheats on the links, reaching 100 percent fairways-in-regulation, never landing in the sand or the water, always dead solid perfect off-the-tee and to the back of the cup etc. On the other hoof, we have honest athletic performances, as shown here in today’s video lede by the Phillies’ starting-pitching talisman Zack Wheeler, to really trust & admire.
