Looking for the two obvious horseys in Saratoga 9, the Grade I Personal Ensign.

Same out here at the Del Mar 6.

Should be OK for #2 Yelling Timber in Assiniboia 3.

Also chalky for your Exhibition 2: #5 Koffee Grinder.

Yesterday’s Activity: All right, all right, ya Swampatoga loversz! Stay away, stay away, stay away. But, hey, at least it rains out there. That’s not anything to take for granted!

Out here over at The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, Pro Shoppe & Driving Range, it was a Welcome to The Home of The Runner-Up Finish occurrence in Race 2, courtesy of top-touted Preacher’s Bluff.

Preacher’s Bluff, sixth-top on the conventional V6 Betting Line and without Fair Odds in a contentious race, nonetheless qualified on the LifeLiner Speed Column via a robust score of 89.

Preacher’s Bluff, 12-1 on the morning line and 10¢ shy of 23-1 in real life, ran to his complete LifeLiner array of 78-74-89, rallying to the place-spot, 1½ lengths behind the 9-1 winner, who also was OK on LifeLiner, with the saver exacta paying $424.20, for $2. The show-horse also was LifeLiner-sanctioned, with the trifecta returning $1,382.80, for $2.

In the next race there in North San Diego County, Bonkersmate Love the Kids won at 27½-1.

Love the Kids, a first-time starter at 20-1 on your morning line, had a satisfactory connection-line of 18pc/11pc/0pc (1 previous try). Love the Kids won by 1¼ and paid $57-even up top.

To cleanse the palate, we now offer sole-touted Humoresque, winner of Race 3 at BelTerra at $7.80 as third-choice in the wagering.

Six races were listed for the touting at Remington Park, and those six races contained a total of 11 touted horseys.

Two of those were touted in Race 8: the top-touted Downtowncarolbrown and the Bonkersmate Onemorefastdance.

Neither was listed among the top horses receiving Fair Odds in the conventional V6 Betting Line in what shaped up as a contentious race. ’Carol was 10-1 on the morning line, ’dance was 30-1 there; on the toteboard, ’Carol was 21-1 while ’dance was 78-1.

There were four horseys who qualified on the LifeLiner, and, amazingly, two of them were ‘Carol and ’dance. Indeed, ’dance just snuck in, a 16-seed at the Big Dance, with a LifeLiner Speed Column analysis rating of 80, the minimum qualifying score. Barely squeaking by!

Onemorefastdance was good enough, by golly, winning by three parts of a length to pay $158.40 for the win. Mark ’em up! The 3-1 runner-up was OK on LifeLiner, and the 78-1 on top of 3-1 exacta in the nine-horse field paid $1,046.20, for $2.

Good enough, then. As always, hope you had ’em!
