Night mare from hell on ANTRACK or thrax—-Wife & I decide to take leisure ride from KY to FLA on the big silver bullet. No worries, view countryside, relax & end up 12 miles from destination with rental waiting, all we saw were the back ends of peoples property & their junk piles. Can’t wait. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doors do not work between cars , have a tarp flapping in the wind, when train stops, stinging insects attack!!!!!!! Ceiling light fixtures broken out & covered with newspapers that have turned dark brown, ready to ignite. Middle of the night, train stops, the wife asks what town are at?? They will not tell us because 2 riders are going to jump ship immediately. No food, lucky we brought 2 liter Diet Coke with nabs. Daylight, finally the boss looks at me, with FIRE in eyes, & politely says , We don’t travel like this!!!!!!!!! And off the Silver Bullet we go, getting outta there like 2 train robbers, somewhere in S. Carolina.
