The rain has gone away from L.A. for now, so back to the courts for the almost-daily tennis routine. We warmup pretty competitively, not just playing catch back-and-forth, and we pull out all the stops: sharp angles, drops, heavy topspin deep in the corners etc. Here’s one we managed to keep in play for quite a bit yesterday.
Personally, without the tennis, we would not have been able to get to the upper-50s now in better shape than we were when we in our 20s. It’s a magical thing, plus you get to socialize and meet interesting people who aren’t mopes. Fantastic! Basically, between tennis & dogs & young grandkids, it’s been quite amazing that it doesn’t take much to keep you young-at-heart, young-and-foolish etc. Try it! Whatever W.C. Fields advised, just do the opposite, people!
One on the run now from Chas. Town…

Stay away from the golf, stay away from the people who kill dogs (their own dogs, no less!) for sport, stay away from the mopes who would summarily fly unaccompanied children to faraway places just because. Stay away!
