Still reeling from the recent bad run of results from Philalala professional sports clubs, chief among those defeats obviously being your Phightin’ Phils’ frequently heartstopping and ultimately heartbreaking 2-1 loss to your La-La Land Los Doyers Thursday evening at Chavez Ravine, thereby eliminating the Nat’l. League East champeens from the 2025 MLB postseason. Today’s snapshot lede autofocuses on Mistah Kyle Schwarber (…SCHWARBER!), who for the last four years has bashed 187 HR & driven-in 434 runs in the regular season for the team and now enters the offseason likely to test his value in free-agency. If Thursday was indeed his final day as a member of the Phillies, all we can say is, well, ‘Thanks!’

As well, there’s uncertainty surrounding the continued employment of manager Rob Thomson, whose postseason moves & results have gotten worse since peaking with the team’s 2022 World Series appearance, which ended in a six-game dismissal by the Astros. We’ll see.
There is no doubt, however, that Thursday’s game itself will live long in the collective memory of both sets of fans. The exquisite torture experienced by Dodger Dog & Phillie Phanatic alike was more spine-tingling than any rollercoaster ride or horror movie, and the triumphant release bestowed upon the Angelenos can be counted-on to last right on through to tomorrow night’s Game 1 of their NLCS against Milwaukee.
Two from the Mountain now…
