Speaking of The Hollywood Bowl, here’s the late, great, recently departed Chas. Mangione committing this memorable performance to immortality.
Late-’70s, 1980 or so, this was The Peak Mangione Era. We had this giant V8 Chevrolet Suburban with the three rows of bench seating extending right to the edge of the back doors, 8-track tape-player, and it was either Barry Manilow or Chuck Mangione coming out of the tinny speakers. 8-tracks! V8 Suburban! Barry Manilow! Chuck Mangione! Children of Sanchez!
