




This summer’s amphitheater season began last night with a nice, unchallenging programme of a selection of Tchaikovsky’s most beloved hits as performed by the L.A. Phil, Carlos Miguel Prieto, conductor. Providing artistic backup were the San Francisco Ballet & the University of Southern California’s Spirit of Troy & some local pyrotechnics providers.
This was the first time in memory that the conductor did not make any remarks to the audience from the podium.
