There was an anniversary to commemorate yesterday, and there’ll be another one tomorrow. But on this date, no anniversaries or historic events to remember. Here’s to today…
Sunny and 63°F right now approaching the bottom of the 10 a.m. hour here in Studio City, with the cloud cover at 6 percent and the relative humidity at a nondescript 43 percent. The UV index is 2, and the winds are out of the north-northeast at 3 mph. The barometric pressure is 30.10 inHg and falling, and today’s high temperature should hit that perfect 72°F around 2 p.m. PST.
Still raking up plenty of dead leaves here on the sidewalks, patios, etc. There are plenty of flame tree-type trees still burning with color. Hyperlocally, a small purple rose bush situated on the upstairs combination jai alai fronton, Azetc balance-ball court, human-canine pinball kicking-machine table is showing some blossoms.
So this is what we get here in the winter months in sunny Southern California when there are no atmospheric rivers raging overhead. Later for Kevork K. Kanine and us, a healthy bike ride with the Dog Tow Leash through the quiet shady streets of residential Studio City.
As for yesterday, we’re doing the right races in terms of contentiousness, but the contenders are slipping through the cracks. Today on the docket, at this relatively early hour, the final five at ParXXX and the last four at Tampa should have a price or two and a righteous-style exacta emerging through the outcomes.
Go out there today and enjoy the sunshine. Take your dog on a bike ride, play canine jai-alai with him on the upstairs patio, etc.
