Yup. Someone you are acquainted with woke-up to a commemorative home-baked cake today, courtesy of two stepgrandchildren & a very special helper. One time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Also celebrating today are: Jenna Ortega (!), Avril Lavigne, Gwyneth Paltrow (?) & last but not least, the greatest third-baseman of all-time and a personal childhood hero one Mistah Michael Jack Schmidt. (We have repeatedly relayed in this here Web log this stroke of impeccable timing, us & Mike Schmidt, childhood sporting hero, and there were many Sept. 27s in the 1970s & \u201980s on which our mutual ball club, your Philalala Phightin\u2019 Phillies, would mark the date by clinching a National League East title \u2014 birthday, birthday, division championship. Now, some baseball fans never get a Hall of Fame player to root for on their favorite team, and some baseball fans never get to rejoice in a World Series champeen…so, for all the past glories & special memories provided by Schmitty, well, all we can say is, many happy returns, Sir. P.S. And while you\u2019re at it, do whatever you can in your formidable power to see that the Phillies win today to get to the postseason \u2014 another Sept. 27 clincher! \u2014 or else make sure that Arizona does not win. Thank you, and Happy Birthday!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
