Good afternoon still from the mild & Golden West, where jacaranda season is in-bloom in many parts of the County of Los Angeles in sunny Southern California. Pictured in today\u2019s snapshot lede is the taller of the two trees gracing the front of the Worldwide Home Office Headquarters in Upper Nichols Canyon, just above the flats of Studio City. When the blooms get to this stage of the game, the purple mountains majesty is just about to explode. Come on! One time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

From yesterday\u2019s (Monday<\/strong>\u2019s) activity…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Canandaigua, N.Y.<\/strong>, opener<\/strong> had #1 Olazabal<\/strong> (.305 Win Prob \/ 2.28-1 Fair Odds \/ 2.84-1 Premium Odds) winning it for his golfing namesake Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda at $10.12<\/strong>; two races later<\/strong> there, #3 Savage State<\/strong> (.238 \/ 3.20 \/ 4.04) displayed same in defeating his foes at $16-even<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

#6 Thousands of Hopes<\/strong> (.221 \/ 3.52 \/ 4.29) took the fifth<\/strong> from Shelbyville, Ind.<\/strong>, at an unimpeachable $10.20<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Down to Bossier City, La.<\/strong>, where #5 Mary Claire<\/strong> (.363 \/ 1.75 \/ 2.31) was best in Race 4<\/strong> at $6-even<\/strong>; in your Race 7 finale<\/strong> there, #1 Myrna<\/strong> (.151 \/ 5.62 \/ 6.95) was a speed-burna at $16.40<\/strong>; your winning $46-even exacta<\/strong> had a premium price of $41.83 and was completed by #4 Mothertwotheblues<\/strong> (.379 \/ 1.64 \/ 2.01).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Race 3<\/strong> at New Cumberland, W.Va.<\/strong>, #7 Silver Wishes<\/strong> (.388 \/ 1.58 \/ 1.94) grabbed the gold at $6.20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2 Factor U and Me In<\/strong> (.243 \/ 3.12 \/ 3.94) got the W in Cornwells Hts., Penna.<\/strong>\u2019s, Race 9<\/strong> at $12.80<\/strong>; #6 Winning Time<\/strong> (.255 \/ 2.92 \/ 3.59) completed your winning $42.40 exacta<\/strong> whose premium price was $36.16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OK. That takes care of all the previous days\u2019 housekeeping, a two-post process, apparently. Now we get to today (Tuesday<\/strong>), with some of your races going this way…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back to Canandaigua<\/strong>, and Race 5<\/strong> for #6 Big Rich<\/strong> (.172 \/ 4.81 \/ 5.98) making his backers at least a little wealthier at $40.20<\/strong>. In Race 7<\/strong>, #3 Honest Reason<\/strong> (.297 \/ 2.37 \/ 2.84) had the truest rational for winning at $8.90<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#6 U R Not the Father<\/strong> (.270 \/ 2.70 \/ 3.33) won Race 3<\/strong> at Shelbyville<\/strong> for Maury Povich & Mike Vrabel at $22.80<\/strong>; completing your winning $143.40 exacta<\/strong> was #5 Polar Drift<\/strong> (.231 \/ 3.33 \/ 4.19), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $34.56.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back to New Cumberland<\/strong> for #6 The Doorman<\/strong> (.408 \/ 1.45 \/ 1.79) entering the winner\u2019s circle in Race 4<\/strong> at $5.80<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Cornwells Hts.<\/strong>, #2 Mariah’s Big Girl<\/strong> (.308 \/ 2.25 \/ 2.80) won Race 4<\/strong> for her diva namesake at $22.40<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
