A couple of post-press-time connections to report from last night\u2019s (Wednesday<\/strong>\u2019s) late action: At Chas. Town, W.Va.<\/strong>, Race 5<\/strong> went to #1 Margarita Sunset<\/strong> (.373 Win Prob \/ 1.68-1 Fair Odds \/ 2.22-1 Premium Odds), who won at 5-2<\/strong> but paid $4.20<\/strong> in a dead heat for the win. At Florence, Ky.<\/strong>, it was another Race 5<\/strong>, this time won by #2 Double Overtime<\/strong> (.392 \/ 1.55 \/ 2.06) at $8.44<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for today (Thursday<\/strong>), it was another full slate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting at Ozone Park, N.Y.<\/strong>, another Race 5<\/strong>, this time won by #1 Collected Special<\/strong> (.215 \/ 3.65 \/ 4.58) at $12.60<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To New Orleans<\/strong> now for yet another Race 5<\/strong>! #5 B Fifty Two<\/strong> (.577 \/ 0.73 \/ 1.08) overcame a field lousy with first-timers at $5-even<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you believe the next one is in yet another Race 5<\/strong>? Believe it, sister! This time it\u2019s the one in Hallandale Beach, Fla.<\/strong>, where #4 Rough Draft<\/strong> (.261 \/ 2.83 \/ 3.60) nonetheless was polished enough to deliver a triumphant story at $23.40<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunland Park, N.M.<\/strong>, broke the spell via its Race 2<\/strong>; in it, #5 Baja Boogie<\/strong> (.140 \/ 6.14 \/ 9.00) won it for the California Peninsula at $23.60<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another Race 2<\/strong> to report, this time Florence, Ky.<\/strong>\u2019s, in which #5 Favorite Haunt<\/strong> (.400 \/ 1.50 \/ 2.00) scared-up the score at $6.50<\/strong>. Later there, it was #2 Janey Creed<\/strong> (.259 \/ 2.86 \/ 3.63) affirming her belief in a $20.84 win<\/strong> in \u2014 yup, you guessed it! \u2014 Race 5<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Bell Rd., Phoenix<\/strong>, #8 Corn Pop<\/strong> (.157 \/ 5.37 \/ 7.92) won Race 6<\/strong> for Joe Biden Snr. at $23-even<\/strong>; completing your winning $116.20 exacta<\/strong> was #4 You Enjoy Myself<\/strong> (.198 \/ 4.05 \/ 5.06), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $95.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
