Many happy returns today to step-grandson, Mistah Leo Richard Mitchell, who hits the big 5 today! Five! Half a decade! Time is flying…<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

So, on this date in 2019, at Providence Saint John\u2019s in Santa Monica, we got to behold this guy for the first time. Then we got to hold him pretty soon after that, and it\u2019s just been a blessing, a real mitzvah, as they say in the ancient Hebrew. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s an interesting kid: a lover of dogs, devourer of milk chocolate, French fries & potato chips, hummer of melodies, maker of mild mischief (hey, he\u2019s 5, not \u2018seven-seven\u2019), driver of scooters & bicycles, and, most important, collector of locks, maybe a hoarder of them, even! In the photo lede above, you see young Leo crawling along his paternal grandmother\u2019s bedroom floor, attempting to fasten his crib to the queen-size four-poster bed. We don\u2019t make the news here; we merely report it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Race 7<\/strong> from Hallandale Beach, Fla.<\/strong>, went to #3 Good Rapport<\/strong> (.277 Win Prob \/ 2.61-1 Fair Odds \/ 4.05-1 Premium Odds) at $10.20<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At New Orleans<\/strong>, Race 9<\/strong> had #4 Funnyflame<\/strong> (.196 \/ 4.10 \/ 5.12) finding the fire to win at $16.60<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To Sunland Park, N.M.<\/strong>, where #5 I Win Lika Girl<\/strong> (.416 \/ 1.40 \/ 1.88) won Race 2<\/strong> at $7.20<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
