Many went skiing today on Buttermilk Mtn., Pitkin Co., Colo., but we were not among them. Overall, there were three full-day sessions on the slopes, and they were great fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Now that most of the death-grip fear and counterproductive survival instincts have been tamed-out of us, we are beginning to aim for better technique, more efficiency and, daresay we, unlabored gracefulness when winding our way down from summit to base. It\u2019s starting to become a partner-dance between us & gravity, the Alpine give-and-take, absorb-then-propel, a snowy capoeira. The struggle and toil and constant vigilance of our beginning skiing process from three years ago are just about consigned to memory. We are beginning to flow now on the slopes, same as we have been for a few years now on the tennis court, and count ourselves among the 4.0 ranks in both. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Easing back into the process here, now that the skiing is done for another winter. Nice-and-easy from Tampa, Sunland & Turfway \u2014 well-spread-out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting at Oldsmar, Fla.<\/strong>, where #1 Ritz on Broadway<\/strong> (.226 Win Prob \/ 3.42-1 Fair Odds \/ 4.31-1 Premium Odds) won Race 4<\/strong> for Fred Astaire at $13.40<\/strong>; completing your winning $76.60 exacta<\/strong> was #4 Jassai<\/strong> (.180 \/ 4.56 \/ 6.78), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $67.06. In Race 8<\/strong>, #11 Hello Sucker<\/strong> (.155 \/ 5.45 \/ 6.74) bade goodbye to the field at $27.20<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Florence, Ky.<\/strong>, Race 2<\/strong> went to #3 Save the Bees<\/strong> (.152 \/ 5.58 \/ 8.21) at $21.22<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Bensalem Twp., Penna<\/strong>., Race 4<\/strong> went to #5 Thirsty Pappy<\/strong> (.244 Win Prob \/ 3.10-1 Fair Odds \/ 3.92-1 Premium Odds) at $10.20<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
