(Yup, that\u2019s how he spells his first name.) You will laugh, learn and typically further yourself (progress!) on various levels, if you are into those sorts of things. The recent episode we selected for today\u2019s lede is representative of the podcast as a whole. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This particular episode is a good one, especially in light of what\u2019s been going on with the world lately, as in the past week or so. Lake of the Ozarks, Daytona, Central Park, Mpls., you name it. It\u2019s been a truncheon blow to the solar plexus, with an extra kick from the jackboots, to boot. It has been hard to function.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the most recent events in Mpls. with rioting and looting are just as anarchic and unpeaceful as the other stuff, and there\u2019s no end in sight to any of this unrest, pandemic, overarching chaos etc.<\/p>\n<p>However, thanks to the work of writers such as Baldwin and Richard Wright and Ta-Nehisi Coates, we begin to entertain in our previously unenlightened minds the possibility that the practice of handing out punishment in this country just might be systemically unbalanced \u2014 unlike the supposedly balanced scales of justice. We just might begin to entertain such a possibility of systemic imbalance! We might!<\/p>\n<p>Or not. But the opening-up itself is worthwhile.
