You know, we grew up in Old Rimrock<\/del> Mendham, N.J., for a few years early on, and the New York Beisbol Mets were our first love. We wept when Gil Hodges died, and that was at age 4 or 5 for us! Yikes. Anyway, the names are just as vivid now as 46 yrs. ago: Seaver, Matlack, Koosman, Gary Gentry, Tug McGraw, Buddie Harrelson, Jerrie Grote, Duffie Dyer, John Milner, Rusty Staub. Beisbol gets in your blood, and it is a good condition to have until the end.<\/p>\n
