Back when we were at Delbarton, when it was a residential school, there were some fellow FLIP (read: Pilipino, or &lsquo;<strong>F<\/strong> <strong>L<\/strong>ittle <strong>I<\/strong>sland <strong>P<\/strong>eople&rsquo;) boarders who were absolutely obsessed with <em>The X-Men<\/em>. On Wednesdays, when we were allowed unsupervised trips into downtown Morristown, those guys would always sprint over to the comic-book store over by the train trestle and pluck their way through the crates for precious issues of their beloved heroes. We went in there too, but just for the experience, as much experience as preadolescent kids could have. Besides, it was right next to the controversial new Burger King, whose corporate fast-food vibe was a huge 20th-century jolt to historic colonial Morristown. Nonetheless, the stealth eating at Burger King was always was a highlight of the trips. Now, the food for the boarders at Delbarton was pretty good, but what chubby 12- or 13-year-old on his own in downtown Morristown is going to turn down a trip to Burger King! So that&rsquo;s Stan Lee.
