Take it easy! As long as your local affiliate is not airing <em>Monday Night &rsquo;murrikan Gridiron Throwball<\/em> and thus forcing a preemption, your 35th season of &lsquo;America&rsquo;s Favourite Quiz Programme&rsquo; kicks off today. W00t! This guy narrating the clip here is pretty amped-up about it, it seems, and he probably would be good at marketing anything he got paid to market, most likely. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Lots of excitement for the <em>J!<\/em> nerds out there; after all it&rsquo;s a new year, so blast the shofar: Treebeak&rsquo;s beard (&rsquo;bout time!), All-Star Team Tournament (Larissa Kelly &mdash; be still our beating hearts!) and all the other hoopla &#038; hullaballoo. As long as it&rsquo;s not a Teen, Kids or Teachers Tournament, we will duly watch (Allah willing) every episode of this entertaining and interactive show and probably report on it occasionally in this here space. There are not many shows out there we are willing to watch, except for <em>ALF<\/em> and <em>Law &#038; Order: Criminal Intent<\/em> with the curiously compelling Kathryn Erbe and the <em>Hawaiian Spy<\/em> reboot (who knows why on those last two shows), plus the original <em>Great British Baking Show<\/em>, but <em>J!<\/em> is always among them, for way more than the last 35 years, too. The <em>J!<\/em> show, a True &#038; Eternal Slice of Americana. Everyone knows about it, which is hard to come by in this day-and-age of rampant narrowcasting, as it were. A lot of people will drone on and on about <em>The Deuce<\/em> or <em>The Moth<\/em> or Marc Maron or such, and some people will understand, but many others will not! On the other hoof, you ask someone about the <em>J!<\/em> show, and 99 out of 100 mopes will have to know about it.
