Tale of two periods last night at Staples: Kings shoot out to 3-nil lead inside of the opening 14 mins. In the third period, Washington mounts a furious fightback in which all its considerable offensive flair is displayed, and they tie the contest with 3:22 left in regulation, courtesy of a 3-goal outburst in a 15-min. stretch. <\/p>\n

As always, the 3-on-3 OT was full of many palpitations and much swooning from the fans of both sides. Bond Villain Milan Lucic fed Jeff Carter on the instant winner at 2:50. A most entertaining contest. <\/p>\n
