How ya’ doin’ with all that collegiate hoopball going on these days? Hoopball!
As always, we are here to remind you that sports that involve the direct handling of the ball are always going to, to us, rank lower than sports in which a proxy for the hand is involved. So hoopball and ’murrikan Gridiron Throwball are less athletic-type games — again, to us — than ice hockey, proper fútbol, tennis, etc. The exception is fat, waddling golf, which while involving a proxy for the hand, still considers you to be an ‘athlete’ while having a 52-inch waist and weighing 325 lbs. while not having to knock someone over. Put simply, golf is fat. We rather prefer seeing some footspeed and indirect handling of the ball or puck. So, again to us, béisbol, fútbol, tennis and ice hockey are more our competitions than meathook hoopball, bloated throwball or plain-old glandular and corpulent golf. It’s just easier for us to appreciate the quick-twitch muscle required to play tennis than to see the fat, corpulent and downright obese waddle around on the golf course. Yea, verily, golf is fat. Tennis is sleek and speedy. Tennis is the better game. Indeed, many top tennis stars are also excellent golfers; rarely is the reverse true! So, come fight us, ya’ fat, obese and corpulent golfers. But first you’ll have to catch us…best wishes! Golf is fat.
That said, the public page for the pick of the day continues to disappoint. It’s a triple-digit handicap these days, a 16-seed — in the NIT.
As for the races mentioned in this here Web log via yesterday’s post, three events, six win-overlay wagers, one winner, that being #3 Bochombo in the finale at Santa Anita; the Fair Odds were 3.78-1, the Premium Odds were 4.74-1 and the Actual Odds were 12-1. Bochombo was the bomb-o, winning by a length-and-a-quarter and paying $26.20 up top. Hit it! Also, golf is fat.
Today we foresee something good happening in any or all of Fair Grounds 9, Golden Gate 4, Gulf 12, Oaklawn 8, Santa Anita 9. Tennis is sleek, quick; golf is fat & waddling. Fight us.
