(Reprinted from yesterday’s late editions.)

Congratulations to Mike Mussina on his election to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Scrub on over to the 0:45 mark and you can tell he is a Hall of Fame pitcher who possesses grace, intelligence and good taste. And not just because he does the crossword, either. As a Stanford grad, he probably is not going to be subscribing to weird denials of history or quack-quack conspiracy theories the way other Hall of Fame hopefuls might. Mike Mussina, good work. Thank you, Mike Mussina, for your grace, intelligence and good taste. And also for not being $75M in arrears to the State of Rhode Island. Good work, Mike Mussina! Mike Mussina, good work. Bless you.

Tuesday:

Mahoning 3
#9 Queeb ($27.20, BestLine Fair Odds 4.26-1)

Mahoning 6
#2 Slews Love ($26.40, BestLine Fair Odds 5.02-1)

Portland 5
#1 Lochness ($20.60, BestLine Fair Odds 3.67-1)

Portland 6
#7 Kalla Kab ($20, BestLine Fair Odds 5.02-1)

Turf Paradise 8
#3 Beau Me Fast ($32, BestLine Fair Odds 5.13-1)

Of course, we said in the Tuesday post that Sunland was having so many contentious races. Yet every other track on offer had the contentious races, at least in terms of the results — and Sunland had not even one $20-plus win mutuel. In all, 11 big prices bet to win, nothing doing.

Yesterday:

Turf Paradise 3
#5 He’s Munnie ($20.80, BestLine Fair Odds 4.56-1)

Turf Paradise 6
#3 End Zone Embrace ($65.60, BestLine Fair Odds 7.00-1)

No advisories yesterday, which was a day off, a Mental Health Day, etc. Thank you.

Today:
