Philalala v. La-La Land

Last night was the Kings’ season debut, and they defeated the Flyers at the arena 2-nil behind a J. Quick shutout. Gostisbehere a real figure-skater on the ice, frequently bamboozles the opposition.

Philalala was pounding the La-La Land crease the whole of the final period, yet J. Quick was more than living up to his name. Finally, a counteroffensive opportunity for La-La Land came with 2 mins. remaining, and the frequently successful two-man comboa (comboa!) of J. Carter (ex-Philalala) and T. Tinfoili knew how to capitalize.

Keeneland over there in Lexington, Ky., opened today, and when it’s the beginning of the autumn meet, it’s also the start of the MLB Playoffs, in this case the La-La Land Los Doyers hosting the Ariz. Diamondbackers. Too much action! Over there today at Keeneland, Race 7 had the requisite longshot payoff, and your friends at Robot Handicapper/All-In-One V6 were there for yourself, identifying your Dual Qualifier War Bond (95, 90) for a $26.60 mutuel. Good job, you Jonah. This time…

Race 4 at Belmont earlier also good for the fans in the stands with the V6 Output in their hands. Check it! Also good all day was Indiana, unlike the Finger earlier this week. Indiana, yea. Finger, boo. That can change tomorrow, though, you know? You can do it, Finger! Also good was the finale at Woodbine. Rexdale-Etobicoke Int’l. doin’ it for the people!

Red Sox Nation having a bad time right about now, with Chris Sale getting hammered yesterday and Drew Pomeranz being the ball of yarn to the Astros’ cat today. Romped. It’s OK, maybe Clayton Kershaw will be roughed up this evening by Goldschmidt & Martinez and Co. It’s OK, Red Sox Nation. Big Papi still believes.

Fresno yesterday finished third at second-choice odds, and it was a mixed bag at your Delpark, with the chalk topping a big longshot, the latter not being part of the calculations.

Retama 9 tonight looks menacing on the surface, with 12 horses in the mix and your morning-line selection at a lukewarm 4-1; however, the Robot Handicapper advises against taking any strong stands against the Captain Obvious issue. Don’t do it. Freeze! Rock!

Two races before that one there, though, is a good one in Race 7. You can rage-wager with reckless abandon in this contest. Rage-wager. Better than rage-quitting because all that rage and anger just might put a little mad money in your pocket there, Longshot Louie. Rage-wager!

Sorry, that’s all the time we have for sharing.
