Season 6 premiere of the ‘Hawaii Five-O’ reboot hits the CBS affiliatesz this evening. Check your local listings. Be there. Aloha.

This version is a little too psychedelical for McGarrett and other 1960s law-enforcement officers of his ilk; it’s a bit heavy on the ‘Strawberry Alarm Clock’ vibe. On the other hoof, we have the remnants of the crew of ‘Lost’ populating the modern-day task force, plus a scrub or two from ‘Heroes’ (the original 2006 number) and ‘Pushing Daisies’, whatever that was.

The reboot version is all action, all the time, with little of the chess-move manipulations of grandmaster minds like the true Wo Fat. However, you always get your money’s worth when it’s a Kennie Solarz joint. A Kennie Solarz joint. Check him.
