Yesterday’s Activity: Continued frustration, but the gods threw one back just to tease. That was in Aqu 7, a run-of-the-mill conditioned-allowance.
The V6 Betting Line set the scene: contentious race, with the top selection meriting Fair Odds of only 3-1, and the second- and third-choices getting in at 4-1 and 5-1. Wide-open pattern.
Not getting Fair Odds was the tubbie Christiesborntorun, further proof of the budding bromance between the New Jersey guv’nor and the Nerd Singer from Freehold.
At any rate, Christiesborntorun, 20-1 on the morning line but off at 43-1 when the gates opened, rallied like half of his namesakes to win at $88.50, as the 73-84-97 LifeLiner line suggested he might. One time! The three-to-five fave faded badly, as the LifeLiner suggested (91-98-77). Yeah! But the 10-1 exacta-completer also was junked by LifeLiner Speed. Ah, well! Boo!
